Hey, there, it’s Sarah of Sadie Seasongoods and today, we’re talking about houseplants and incorporating them into your home. With a little help from the Charlotte Region ReStores, of course!

Houseplants and botanically inspired décor have been all the rage for a few years now- and it shows no signs of slowing down! Thankfully, there are all sorts of ways to get this look for less thanks to Habitat ReStore. Some ideas are traditional ways of displaying your indoor plants, but others are more unique and abstract. But ALL of these are upcycled using items you can find at any of the Charlotte Region ReStores!

Felt Succulent Desktop Garden

If you don’t exactly have a green thumb and prefer houseplants that will never die on you, try out these felt succulents! Plus, there are endless items to use as “planters” in all our ReStores!

DIY Ladder Plant Shelf

Old ladders are something our ReStores often have available, and they are PERFECT for upcycling into a houseplant display for your home!

Botanical Print Display

Vintage botanical prints- either the real deal or printable reproductions- are on trend in a big way these days. Displaying them in a vintage window like this is a great way to achieve this look on a budget. And you KNOW we have lots of windows in our stores…

Repurposed Lamp Plant Stands

Looking for a unique way to display your favorite houseplants with varying heights? Repurpose a few old lamps from the ReStore and turn them into gorgeous plant stands!

DIY Wooden Cactus Decor

Spot some post caps or fence tops at the ReStore? Turn them into no-pain cactus “plants” with this amazing transformation. (Bonus- no watering or sunlight needed!)

There are ALWAYS a plentiful supply of outdated light fixtures in our stores. But they can be easily reimagined as decorative plant cloches like this! What a great way to add a chic touch AND protect your plant baby from pets or small children.
